We're looking for someone who is passionate about creating a meaningful workshop experience

Overview:
We’re looking for a workshop host to help us the night-of the workshop. This person is the glue that holds the workshop experience together! This will start off as a contract position (1 workshop a week) but there’s potential for this role to grow in the near future.

Who Are You?:

  • You love everything about hosting + hospitality is one of your top gifts!

  • People refer to you as a “connector” because you love making people feel welcome

  • The idea of someone walking into your space and not being greeted makes you cringe.

  • You’re super observant and in-tune with the vibe in any room. You can pick up on awkwardness and have the ability to address it in a subtle way to “bridge the gap”.

  • You seek out the person who’s sitting alone so you can introduce them to someone else.

  • You can command a room when you need to, but also enjoy sitting back and observing.

  • You’re responsive + all-in!

Responsibilities:

Including, but not limited to:

  • Night-of workshop host, which includes:

    • Event set up

    • Greeting people after they check in with further instructions

    • Workshop kickoff

    • Assist with workshop instruction & project

      • Role of the host is to facilitate, make sure everyone is following along, help keep time + transition between activities

    • Social media (taking pictures throughout workshop + posting to Stories)

  • A lot of operational steps are needed to create a workshop experience, and we might occasionally need help with creating the event Google doc, events page + FB event
